This piece examines the idea of intimacy through movment. Intimacy is the process of sharing the innermost, essential parts of our being with another through close relationships. Closeness can be achieved through emotional, psychological, emotional and/or spiritual sharing and proximity.

An Absence of Fences looks at different types of intimacy. Each pieces explore duets of varying relationships. The use of LMA was extremely useful in this process.

What is intimacy when looking through the lens of LMA? There is not one consistent answer. Every person interacts differently depending on whom they are with and the situation they are in. There are, however, some over-arching themes in the LMA systems that can be found in most of the intimate situations that I have observed. The themes that I find prevalent are the Self-Self and Self-Other cycles. There is some form of the theme in most intimate relations whether it is primarily a physical connection or a psychological one. There is a need to be in relation to one self before relating to another. This idea also includes the theme of Inner Outer. Again, being able to know what is happening inside oneself and then bringing it to outer manifestation.
