In Authority…Beauty (premiere), Rose Pasquarello Beauchamp, Tanja London and a mannequin named Dale move through the relationship between body image and historical beauty ideals.

Rose is inspired to make movement accessible via her training in Laban Movement Analysis. She believes that dance is truly a communicative art form. The first way every human communicates is through movement and Rose holds the belief that this remains true throughout life. Her artistic process is anchored in exploring the creative art-making process as a communication process, within ourselves and with others. The results of this exploration are powerful and prove that there are no limits in dance/movement as an art form. Her mission is to inspire and empower people to move their truth and create movement-based art.

Tanja simply wants to dismantle reason and open a discussion based on the daily environment that shapes our lives. Her medium is the human body and its movement, that which is profoundly and cognitively neglected by the mind. Her connection with social, emotional and physical limitations of our western culture lights a creative fire within her.

Alysia Woodruff, Rose Pasquarello Beauchamp, and Tanja London are interested in modern dance as a way to build community and facilitate the exchange of ideas. They strive to make dance accessible, innovative ways to communicate through movement and push boundaries of traditional interpreter, dancer and theater roles.
