Inspired by stories surrounding lost and found items, the company explores the idea of how simply picking something off the ground could be a catalyst for a series of events. To-do-lists, lost and found posters, apology notes, and found objects all play a part in the collage of dance pieces investigating the humanity behind trash. Lost your cell phone, your great-grandmother’s wedding ring, your belief in democracy? Found someone’s grocery list, a breakup letter, or a mystery key? Take a walk down the street with us and you will uncover miniature moments of longing, passion, despair, surprise, and madness that would otherwise stay crumpled up in the gutter or stuck to a telephone pole…

Found & Lost: Goals for 2002 promises to provide audiences with an experience they will not forget. Come see why critics last year stated, “Engaging from the start, Boston-based inFluxdance captures its audience in a series of contemporary dance vignettes.” Canada.com and The Gazette of Montreal gave them 4 Stars!

Their “Spirit of the Fringe Award” at the 2006 Montreal Fringe Festival has been a driving force behind Found & Lost: Goals for 2002. Witty, yet poignant, the show reflects the company’s commitment to creating dance theater for all audiences. Similar to last season, the choreographers have incorporated American Sign Language throughout the production, adding a level of accessibility you rarely find.
