Inspired by Dr. Seuss’ the Lorax, “I Speak for the Trees” (premiere) is a quirky, vibrant movement piece about how seemingly innocent self-interest can end up having a devastating effect on the planet and threatening natural beauty as we know it.
Rose is inspired to make movement accessible via her training in Laban Movement Analysis. She believes that dance is truly a communicative art form. The first way every human communicates is through movement and Rose holds the belief that this remains true throughout life. Her artistic process is anchored in exploring the creative art-making process as a communication process, within ourselves and with others. The results of this exploration are powerful and prove that there are no limits in dance/movement as an art form. Her mission is to inspire and empower people to move their truth and create movement-based art.
